Vinton students make Luther College Dean’s List
Aspen Ahrenholz of Vinton made the Dean’s List at Luther College for the Fall 2023 semester. Annual Shade Tree Short Course to Return in February
Valuable resource for arborists, industry professionals, students and educatorsThe Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Shade Tree Short Course will be held Feb. 21-22 at the Scheman Building on Iowa State’s campus. This is the 68th year for the course, which began in the mid 1950s and has grown to become one of the most popular and well-attended tree care conferences of its kind in the country.

Oh. My. Goodness! Recommended to me by a friend, this is hands-down the chillingest, twistiest, can’t-put-it-down book I’ve read in a long time! We here at the library have started a new book club designed with the young reader in mind. This club is for patrons 7 to 12 years of age, and an older teammate. This can be a parent, grandparent, caregiver, etc. The Club is called ‘Joined Forces’ and meets on the last Thursday of the month at 5:00PM in the Juvenile Fiction section of the library.
